Important information for patients – Jhoots Pharmacy, Brockwort

While the pharmacy is closed, patients can still access their medicines and pharmacy services in the following ways:

Collecting your prescription

If your prescription was sent to Jhoots Pharmacy, Brockworth, it will be returned to the NHS electronic system (the “Spine”).

You can go to another pharmacy of your choice, where they will be able to retrieve your prescription electronically and dispense it for you.

If you experience any problems, please contact us at the practice and we can help ensure your prescription is sent to an alternative pharmacy.

Choosing a different pharmacy

You can change your nominated pharmacy using the NHS App, or by asking another pharmacy to change it for you.

Some patients may prefer to use a distance-selling pharmacy (DSP), which can deliver prescriptions directly to your home free of charge. This can be especially helpful if travelling to another pharmacy is difficult.

You can find details of online pharmacies at www.nhs.uk – Online Pharmacies.

Finding local pharmacies

If you would like to find another nearby pharmacy, please use the NHS “Find a pharmacy tool: www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy.

By entering your postcode or town, you can see pharmacies close to you and their opening hours.

Getting your medicines urgently

If you are running low on medication and cannot get your prescription from your usual pharmacy:

  • You can contact NHS 111 online or by phone for urgent advice.
  • As a last resort, we can issue a new prescription for you to take to an alternative pharmacy.

Please be assured that we are aware of the disruption caused by this closure and we are working closely with the ICB to make sure that patients in Brockworth can continue to access their medication safely and promptly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
